I still remember the first time we met
Between pending assignments, beside the library shelves
Near the window, you sat between your friends
I lost all intention of finishing mine, I had 1 question left

You had discrete math, I had Theory of Computation
Subjects so dull, you'd rather go through constipations
But as the sun's rays fell upon your face, you caught my eye
I still remember the first time we met

Time flew by, I saw you here and there
Across the corridor,
Between the classes
And other events sprinkled everywhere

Conversations began, I embarrassed myself
You still laugh at the stupid things I said
You were simple and easy to talk to
I couldn't stop, no matter what my head told me to do

I fell for you, the more I tried not to
All the stars went crazy, because you fell for me too
And before we knew it, you were in my arms
In that empty stadium of a campus that wasn't ours

You gave me the best years of my life
And you're still here, I just don't know why
Because I've pushed you away every single way
Your soul lives under my skin, my heart beats in your palms

Home is where the heart is, I have always heard
My heart may have found it's home, but my body lives like a bird
It will go from one place to another, in search of happiness to find
Soul has eyes, not the body. Because my body seems to be blind

And so I don't know what will happen
In the years that are yet to pass
We all live the way we do
In the hope to not have regrets that last

And so I am where I am, and you are where you are
Doing what I wish to do, you what you've chosen to
But there are times like this, when I just can't help
But remember, remember the first time we met
